I’ve been waiting for my Whoop for over a month now. The device never arrived, and they refuse to issue a refund. Instead, they offered me “an extra month of the free trial” — which is completely useless, since I clearly explained that I will no longer be at the delivery address starting in September (6month travel). So no, I won’t be receiving the device at all. On top of that, the company is violating Article 16 of the EU Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights, which guarantees the right to a refund if the product or service hasn’t been delivered within a reasonable time. I'm seriously considering filing a formal complaint with the European Consumer Centre (ECC). Would not recommend. Total disregard for the customer and for EU law.

A Truly Disappointing Experience with WHOOP — Avoid If You Value Customer Support I normally don’t leave negative reviews, but my experience with WHOOP has been frustrating enough that I feel obligated to warn others. I joined WHOOP after receiving a free trial through a friend’s invitation. I was impressed with the app and the insights, so I paid $239 for a full year of membership on April 27, 2025. Just a few days later, WHOOP announced the launch of the new 5.0 device and invited members like me to request it by paying only for shipping. I submitted the order on May 5 and paid $9.59 for shipping. I received an email confirming that the device would be shipped in 7 days. On May 15, I was told the order was on its way. That was the last trace of the package. It never arrived. From that point on, I had to repeatedly follow up with their customer support. Every time, I received a vague or copy-paste response blaming UPS. Then they shifted the narrative, telling me they couldn’t refund me unless I returned a product I never received — yes, they literally required me to return the nonexistent device in order to issue a refund. After weeks of back and forth, and only after my persistence and pressure through multiple emails, they finally agreed to refund the shipping fee — but refused to refund my annual membership, even though I paid it less than 3 months ago. One of the most insulting moments was when they replied to one of my follow-ups with: “Please disregard the previous email.” No explanation, no accountability — just brushing it under the rug. It showed total disrespect for a paying customer. To be clear: I paid in good faith. I was never sent the product I was promised. I was the one chasing them, not the other way around. Their handling of this case was irresponsible, evasive, and, frankly, unprofessional. I have now filed a formal dispute with my credit card provider and will not recommend WHOOP to anyone. A company focused on health and performance should hold itself to higher standards — and at the very least, deliver what people pay for.

If you value trust and transparency, think twice before giving WHOOP your money.

If you’re considering investing in Whoop, be aware that if anything goes wrong, their support is slow, unhelpful, and dismissive. The product is only as good as the support behind it—and in this case, it failed completely.

Been a Whoop user only for a few months but the device already broke, completely shut down, hardware defect according to the support. I am on a backpacking trip in Asia right now where I was excited to track my data. Whoop support said they will send me a replacement but not expedited and not a different address than my home address so it will only get to me within a few weeks and I basically won't be able to track any fitness on this backpacking trip, the reason why I got the band. Since it's a subscription model and not a piece of hardware that you purchase one single time I was hoping they would compensate me with a free month or extra strap. They won't! Pretty lame customer support for such a pricey product.

WHOOP refused to honour their upgrade promise – avoid! I’ve been a member of WHOOP since Jan 2024 under the clear promise that after 6 months of membership, I’d get a free upgrade to their next-gen device. After months of silence, delays, and AI-generated support replies, WHOOP finally admitted they changed the policy and would not honour it—despite it being the reason I signed up. They’ve offered a partial refund or late upgrade, but that doesn’t fix the misleading advertising or poor customer service. I’ve now going to lodge a complaint with Fair Trading and other consumer authorities and encourage you to do the same for misleading advertising etc. Be warned: WHOOP overpromises and under-delivers.

I guess I came here to see if I was the only one having such a terrible experience with their customer service and total incomplete ability to fix simple problems. Then I see all the one star reviews and it's clear they couldn't give a s... about loyal customers I've been with them since the start and as per usual once a brand gets huge they become complacent and management ignores standards Highly recommend you cancel your subscriptions and just go with a good Garmin which is what I did.
