I am a victim of fraud on EBAY, the customer service is utterly incompetent. I purchased and item and immediately tried to cancel due to a wrong address. The Seller immediately refused to cancel and said that they would change the address for me. The seller never changed the address, sent it to the wrong address, and even though EBAY can read the messages, ebay thinks this is ok. So basically, a seller can send an empty envelope to the wrong address and according to Ebay that legit business. I am disputing as fraud with chase.

I’ve always loved EBay but if ur a new seller don’t expect to get paid even when you ship ur items u sold. I sold a $500 item on eBay for $200 and even though it’s shipped and everything eBay is not paying me until the buyer receives the item and then wait 3 more days. I asked eBay when I first sold it and was assured I’d be paid when tracking was provided but wasn’t. It also says on the dashboard if u add a debit card you’ll be paid in 30 mins. That’s also wrong! The rep tells me today that this could continue for the next few sells. So…if ur expecting ur money as soon as u sell than don’t because it’s false. I’ve been an eBay user and seller for over 20 years but since I stopped selling for years I’m considered a new seller. This is wrong for a seller.

Unfortunately eBay is not a safe place to buy high end products. Tons of people are selling counterfeit products on their platform. I informed them and they say it doesn't violate their listing policies....even though it clearly does. They make too much money from all this activity to want to stop it. Sadly Amazon is the same but easier to get customer service. Name brand items must be purchased from well known reputable companies or we all risk getting fakes. They are so well done anymore that it is nearly impossible to know. Yes these pictures are fakes. The boxes even look real. But compared to real ones side by side, you can see the differences.

I’ve been an eBay customer for 19 years, but I was scammed, and eBay refused to help. A scammer gave me a FedEx tracking number for a completely different address in my ZIP code, then closed their account after stealing my money. I contacted FedEx, and they confirmed the package was never delivered to my address. eBay shamefully closed the case and refused to issue a refund. It’s disgusting how eBay protects scammers instead of loyal customers who’ve supported them for years.

Not a fair platform for sellers. To be honest, I am extremely disappointed and upset: international scam cases happened to me twice within 2 months! I lost my items and my money over $$$! And eBay refused to protect me. I appealed to the eBay customer service team but waited more than a week still no response at all. The buyer clearly damaged/swapped the item after receiving it, and I provided strong evidence, yet eBay still ruled against me. How is this fair? Honest sellers deserve better protection! If eBay cannot determine that the buyer caused the damage, why is the seller automatically held responsible?This is a clear case of buyer fraud. The “Item Not as Described” policy is being abused by dishonest buyers to manipulate refunds and take advantage of sellers. As an honest seller, I take full responsibility for genuine mistakes, but in these two case, the evidence clearly shows that the buyer is deceiving the system. eBay you know no buyers no sellers. But Remember NO SELLERS NO BUYERS EITHER !!!

I received a fake product and when I contacted EBay even though EBay took their listing down for violating their policies they would not give me a refund for a fake product. The representative even scolded me for waiting to call them. First I didn’t know it was fake. Second when I found out it was fake And didn’t work it was too late. I closed my ebay account.

STAY AWAY FROM EBAY! BE AWARE - THEY USE FRAUDULENT practices and you would never prove anything with them. They underpaid me by $217 for my sold items, and did not provide any customer service. Their online robot was useless, when I asked a human agent to help me online, they did promise to investigate it further but then never followed up. To make things worse, they adopted a fraudulent practice when someone pretended to be a buyer, and bought a luxury bag from me. Then the same buyer profile, postal address and nickname was used to pretend they are authenticator working for eBay. They sent me an email saying my bag is 100% authentic, and then 2 weeks later, the same nickname showed that they started a return claim on me, pretending my bag is not good enough for them. They actually can get into your bank account and take money directly from it, without sending your goods back and you as a seller can do nothing about it. They cancel all their customer service emails and contact phone numbers, so I am basically left with nothing but out of pocket for $217 and $1000 for my bag, even though they themselves "autheticated" it. They rip people off with their fees and dishonest practices, they need to be shut down. Disgraceful dishonest business. People be aware!

If I could give Ebay -10stars I would. I placed my first order ever with eBay for two Labubu dolls for my grandaughter. Approximately 3 days later I received an email saying my account has been suspended. Called their so-called customer service and was told by 3 different agents that they were not allowed to tell me why it was suspended. I had checked out as a guest as it was my first order. Also that I would be getting a call from a supervisor within 24-48 hours. Haven’t received anything!!!! Filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and I had to call my credit card company to have the charge reversed. Maybe if someone at the corporate level would look into why eBay has a 2.0 rating, a lot of customer service problems would have a happy ending!!!!!
