Even though the staff is friendly but, how many motors has Valvoline damaged? Research it! I was told by a local dealership and other trusted local mechanics that Valvoline uses recycled oil! According to other local mechanics, if Valvoline uses a suction machine leaving old oil behind it can cause sludge build up and your engine to cease! Valvoline did most of my oil changes and their final maintenance check stated that everything was ok! Approximately a week later my engine ceased costing me almost 7k in out of pocket expenses for rental fees and an engine replacement! Of course I complained to their “Customer Support” to dispute what happened and they danced around their mistake and denied responsibility! Maybe it’s time to expose their bad business practices and start a class action lawsuit! Thanks Valvoline!

Mr. Sam Mitchell CEO VALVOLINE Corp Mr. Mitchell: The reason that I am attempting to contact you is concerning an issue I had with your location in Franklin TN. I took my girlfriend car to this location on April 08, 2025, for the second time. While checking in I mentioned to the attendant that previously after my oil change there was a leak of oil on my garage floor. He assured me and gave me his "personal promise", it won't happen again. We'll guess what it did. When I contacted the location, I received no consideration or response from Customer Service or promises kept made by the local manager, I expected some action and as of today crickets. Not sure if this is the way you want your company managed but that's not my issue. Will you kindly have someone to look into the matter? There's recorded and written messages. I'm sure CS calls are probably recorded for those to do research or simply call me. Now, if you feel I'm wrong, just let me know. CS2021184 Thank You Ron

I went in to get an oil change. I also had a blinker signal bulb that needed to be replaced. Once I left I realized my whole headlight was out. I had to take my car into a shop and had to pay 100.00 to fix what they had broken. I would say stick with just getting your oil change. Cause apparently they are not trained on anything else.

Quite literally the most shady company I've ever come in contact with. Still fighting with them over a month later for them messing my car up. Putting mine and my children's lives in danger and they refuse to take responsibility for their actions. I wouldn't wish this company on my worst enemy. If you want your car messed up I guarantee you they will do an amazing job at doing a less than mediocre job then do what they did to me and cover up what they did and refuse to take ownership so now I'm fighting to get my money back from them. Use this company at your own peril. Do not trust the regional manager Chase nor should you go to the store on Palomar in Lexington. The manager will lie to you and not take ownership for her workers giving me their word they would take care of this issue. Good luck.

Went in for an oil change on Friday at Valvoline in Hudson, MA. Employees were extremely unprofessional, messing around the entire time. Fast forward to Monday, dropping my KIDS off at school, smelled burning oil and smoke started billowing out of my hood. Looked under my car and there was TONS of oil on the ground. Called Valvoline because I obviously knew they messed something up on Friday. Manager and his manager came out nonchalantly without any empathy at all. Told me that in order for it to be covered, they would have to tow it back to Valvoline to diagnose the issue and then "go from there". They towed it back to the shop and there was less than HALF OF A QUART of oil left in my vehicle (takes 5.8). The manager called me 4 hours later to tell me that one of his guys snapped the gasket by overtightening it when putting it on. Assured me that everything was fixed and "cleaned" and showed pictures of the snapped gasket. Told me that there "shouldn't be anything wrong with the engine". REALLY?! Wake up this morning, three puddles of oil under my car. Have the vehicle brought to VW. VW says that less than a half a quart of oil is extremely worrisome in that vehicle. Called corporate and they transferred me back to the store manager who not only refuses to issue a refund for the $150 oil change that is now causing me 3 days of issues, but also refuses to reimburse the diagnostic at VW because there "shouldn't be anything wrong with the engine". DISGUSTING on ALL levels. How am I out over $700 now because an OIL CHANGE SHOP can't properly CHANGE OIL!? VALVOLINE CORPORATE, STEP IN!

Valvoline refuses to take responsibility for damage caused by their own technicians and operates a biased investigation process that protects their locations instead of their customers. On February 20, 2025, I took my car to Valvoline at 4215 Montgomery Rd, Ellicott City, MD, for a routine oil change. While there, two different technicians attempted to access my transmission for a fluid exchange but failed to do so properly. I declined further services and left. 🚨 Two days later, my car broke down on I-95 South and had to be towed to Nissan White Marsh. After inspection, Nissan confirmed my transmission only had 0.5L of fluid left, causing catastrophic failure. There were no leaks or external damage, meaning the fluid loss was caused by improper handling at Valvoline. Valvoline Corporate’s Failure to Investigate I contacted Valvoline corporate multiple times, only to be ignored, misled, and denied a fair investigation. Their solution? Letting the store manager at the location where the damage occurred be the sole decision-maker on whether my claim was valid. 💡 This is a blatant conflict of interest. 💡 I requested: ✔ A third-party investigation ✔ Corporate oversight and a review of Nissan’s findings Valvoline refused both and provided no real resolution. Now, I am out $6,500 for a new transmission due to their technicians’ negligence and corporate’s refusal to take responsibility. This company does NOT stand behind its work or its customers. If you value your car, your money, and your time, stay away from Valvoline. 🚫 AVOID VALVOLINE AT ALL COSTS. 🚫

I got an oil change on 2/19/25 and took it back to them cause oil was leaking out. They proceeded to tell me after the 2nd time that it was something else and the woman that was there told me they would get there lawyers to fight me on any issue. I took it to my dealership to see why it was leaking and they found a crack in the oil filter housing which is caused from tightening the filter too tight.

Broke my truck during a state inspection and tried to hush me up by not charging me. Went back and dealt with a nice enough tech who worked on my car and a rude tech who thought threatening to charge me was the play. They refused to give me customer service or corporate phone number instead of just owning up and working with me on the leak. The only reason this isn't a one star is because they didn't charge me. Learned my lesson with this branch won't be recommending or going back. Escalating to customer service but not because of the break but more so on the techs approach to the situation, especially Sean. I wouldn't trust this group filling up my tires.
