After driving for grubhub for 3 years, I was unjustly and unfairly terminated without a proper explanation. I cannot get anyone to give me a reason why my account is terminated other than to give me a vague answer saying “ are in material breach of your Delivery Partner Agreement with Grubhub and a violation of Grubhub's deactivation policy. Our records indicate that you engaged in actions or omissions that were fraudulent, deceptive, or materially impedes the operation of Grubhub's business.” Grubhub has all evidence to see that deliveries were completed and any time I had an incident I called to report to let them know what happen and followed the steps provided by the driver care assistants. I have done absolutely nothing wrong to warrant a termination. I had a 5 star review, no prior complaints, no prior contact by customers regarding missing orders. It’s clear that I’m also not the only one facing this issue as other drivers are going through the same thing.

About a year ago, I switched from DoorDash to Grubhub (GH) due to the free monthly subscription based on Amazon Prime membership. Regret it wholeheartedly!! I experience delivery issues 80-90% of the time (no exaggeration). I have yet to have a hot meal as a result (don't even order fries anymore because they're always cold), and ice is usually melted in any drinks. This issue is mainly due to drivers who, for some reason, stop mid-travel for extended periods of time, or sign in to an order, then sit somewhere for 20-30 minutes before actually heading to the restaurant (or drop the order necessitating another driver pick it up, thus adding to the overall delivery time). Examples: Last month, a driver who lived over 15 miles away, signed into the order, but did not actually move from his location for 25 minutes. He then began heading to the restaurant, but took a long route, only to drop the order 5 minutes later. A second driver then picked up the order, and eventually delivered it, arriving almost 90 minutes after being placed. The app showed the order was "On time" during the entire experience. Ordered last week from a restaurant 6 minutes from my home. The driver picked up the food, then traveled 15 miles in the wrong direction. Then sit at some location for 23 minutes. Only after I messaged her multiple times, eventually asking (in English and Spanish) where the hell she was (getting no response), did she travel back to deliver my cold meal. My last order placed during non-peak hours, from a McDonald's just 5 minutes from home, took 1 hour and 10 minutes to arrive. GH noted 15-30 minutes when the order was placed. But, as we all know, these systems update (change) that information based on the status of the driver, so it's always showing "On time" and thus eliminates the option for complaining or getting help when the order is way overdue. And, given restaurants are now often bagging drinks within the packages for the meals, drivers can't put these in a warming bag, either. Of course, to be fair that's a restaurant issue, not GH's. And no, none of these were due to ordering during peak hours (something I always avoid) or because drivers were delivering multiple orders. At least, that should not be the reason as I always choose the "deliver my order first" option (preferring to pay the $2.99 in hopes of avoiding these issues). The other main issue with GH is having recourse for issues like this. There's no option for feedback on a driver who persistently displays this delay-in-route issue (there are repeat offenders). Most drivers cannot or will not communicate, either. This is usually do to not being able to speak or read English—the latter of which makes any delivery directions difficult to follow (which most ignore, anyway). Add to this the false advertising of "No delivery fees" with your monthly membership (which, to date, has been 100% untrue) and you get a seriously disreputable service. All of this is a major deterrent and I only order now when absolutely unavoidable. Given the only reason to use this service is the free subscription option, I do believe it would be worth it to pay the $9.99/mo. for DoorDash's monthly subscription just to avoid the stress stemming from GH's delivery issues.

We dedicate our time and energy to provide good service, but they shut down accounts unfairly, affecting our livelihoods. Very disappointing and unprofessional treatment.

Don't expect your food to arrive hot - when the driver has to make TWO other deliveries before getting your old, cold and stale food to you. The app said my food would arrive in an hour to 90 minutes. No problem if it's coming straight out of the kitchen to me. There's a BIG problem when my food rides around the city for almost an hour on someone's back seat or floorboard. I'm deleting the app and going get my food myself. I wouldn't mind paying extra for delivery - if it was worth it. Paying extra to watch my food ride around the city and get cold doesn't make it worth using GrubHub. Attention GrubHub: You had a great thing - but you ruined it. You should go ahead and sell your company to Uber Eats while it's still worth something. No sense trying to keep a sinking ship afloat.

My order is wrong and I uploaded picture to their customer service to show what I received and they will not give me a refund for it stating that I have too many concessions on my account. These restaurants that they are working with are not providing the food that they supposed to provide and how is this a person's fault that is ordering it and it shows up wrong? If the food is wrong then your money should be refunded. Then they customer service can't even tell you how many refunds you can have on your account. I feel like the restaurant should be penalized for not making sure the orders are correct when they send them out to be delivered.

Wish I could give it 0 stars!!! The driver delivered my food to the wrong address like 3 blocks over when I contacted her asking her where was my food she like I delivered it with a whole attitude! Driver who delivered wasn’t the person who GrubHub sent photo and name of. Person refused to use call box after two heated exchanges became he didn’t want his face photographed. He was belligerent and scary. Unfortunately someone let him in I tried to warn GrubHub of this dangerous situation. The customer service manager blatantly told me he wouldn’t feel bad if this person hurt someone. Now this person has my personal information. Obviously this person is in collaboration with someone at GrubHub or they wouldn’t be able to compete my order. I contacted GrubHub online, over the phone, and email to the CEO Howard Migdal and absolutely no concern or care for the safety of their customers. I called the police but said they couldn’t do anything. I filed a complaint with the attorney general and Better Business Bureau . This gap in their security that creates this breach and no response to it creates a not if but when someone will be victimized I am writing this review to document and leave a paper trail of GrubHubs gross negligence so when something does happen the attorneys will have documentation to prove this was entirely preventable
