If I could give Budget Rental located in the San Angelo, TX airport a zero I would! I'm a Budget Fastbreak customer meaning I'm a loyal customer & I rent cars frequently from Budget Rental. I travel  the route to San Angelo often & I know most of the Budget employees at this location & they recognize me. On Tuesday, July 15th I arrived at the San Angelo Airport on the first flight into San Angelo. I was one of the first passengers off the plane so I was the first customer in line at the Budget counter. There were two employees that I didn't recognize as I mentioned I travel this route often. On July 15th at approximately 9:45am there was a tall white man, who was training a new female employee. I had prepaid for my rental car with the credit card that Budget has on file for me. The male employee asked for my id and credit card for a deposit which is normal. The male employee swiped my card several times but the magnetic strip apparently wasn't working. The male employee said very loudly, "you need to give me another card that works". I was shocked at his approach & embarrassed because he was acting like my card was declined. I responded in a normal tone and explained thst I used that same card  to preepay for the car & its the same card that Budget has on file for me. He responded very loudly, "you either give me another card that works or you will not be getting a car here today"! I couldn't belive he was making such as ordeal & talking so loudly. U hadn't done anything to provoke this behavior. I was completely humiliated & embarrased. I explained to him that my mother was critically ill and I needed the car. He responded very loudly, "I dont care" and then he asked for the next customer in line. I could not believe what was happening. I really needed to be on my way to check on my 101 year old mother's condition so I gave him another card. He handed the keys to me & I asked for his name. He said Richard and the young female employee that Richard was training her name is Esther. I told Richard that I would report him and he responded "good, do that". I have since found Richard goes by Ric (Richard H.) I also have his full name & I will give that information as I escalate this issue up Budget Corporate ladder. No one deserves to be humiliated and disrespected in this manner especially a custimer and people visiting San Angelo. Richard H.(aka Ric)'s behavior was unprovoked and unnecessary. He had my credit card & if the magnetic strip wasn't working, he could have typed the information into his system. Ricard H. should NOT be working with customers nor she he train anyone! It's probably safe to bet that this is not Ric first time treating a  customer this way! Shame on you Bydget!! You have lost a valuable customer. I was bullied, discriminated and humiliated by Ric H. and I will be notifying Budget's Corporate & Executives about Ric H. outrageous behavior. This was cruel & unnecessary treatment! Do better!!

I returned my vehicle to budget San Angelo Airport before they opened with a full tank of gas and luckily took pictures of the dashboard because I was charged $98 because they said I returned it with 1/2 of a tank. waiting for my money to be returned but after this deceitful practice I will no longer use budget rentals and will not recommend them to anyone.

We came in the distress within minutes from closing on Sunday evening. Steve Cox didn’t hesitate for a second to help us. He was calm, nice, he had all the answers and the perfect solution for our situation. We came distressed after the previous rental car went into the ditch in the rain due to unacceptable, extremely bold tires, which we realized afterward when assessing the damage. We were stressed but Steve, with his calm demeanor helped us navigate through the challenge. He explained the process step by step, found a replacement car, even went to the lot to check the tires of the new car to assure our safe trip. He made sure we had the similar size of the vehicle and that the car was clean and ready. Steve’s customer service deserves the best compliments and he definitely deserves a raise or bonus! We haven’t have such service for a long time! Kudos to Budget/Avis training and committed team members like Steve! Thank you

I had to return 3 different cars because the first one was out of registration, the second one had a knocking sound coming from the passenger side door, and the third car violently shook when I went over 60 on the highway. Every time I came back to change it Steve made me feel like a nuisance and said that he “can’t keep giving me new cars” even though it’s not my fault that the cars he gave me were messed up. He even prioritized another customer over me even though I got there first. As a military member I am very dissatisfied and disappointed. I would give a zero star if I could.

The online experience was fast & easy. The car was nice, with the exception of the cigarette smoke. I am not a smoker. I drove with the windows cracked to avoid choking on the smell. I was lucky it did not rain. The counter staff was cordial. It's a small airport and only 1 person was working the counter. At this location (San Angelo Airport) be prepared to for a slow line to get your car.

I chose Budget because I’ve always had good experiences with them in the past. Their rental rate was lower than their competition. When we arrived they offered us an upgrade which we accepted. When we returned the vehicle to the air port everything was handled quickly and professionally. I will definitely choose Budget the next time I need to rent a car.

Used a cod thru work that was supposed to give us a $30 a day rental. All thru the checkout process it showed $30 a day. Then when it finally came time to it said it would be $330 for 5 days. That's more than double what it should have been. I get that fees get added on but not $180 in fees on a $150 rental. But we were in a hurry and went thru with it. Then after we paid our receipt said $400+. We later saw that it said the discount code was applied but now it said the code was for $0, that it did nothing. We had to extend while our car is in the shop. Still, we'll have had the rental 11 days when we drop it. Our code was for $30 a day. That should be $330 plus whatever daily fees. Shouldn't be more than about $150 in fees. That's just $480. That's what we should be paying. Instead our total is for $700+?!?!?! They insist that we'll see the code amount when we drop off but it's not gonna lower it. They're just doing some BS to where our $30 a day code isn't working. This is horrible business

The chubby white guy with beard and glasses was completely unprofessional and unpleasantly racist to my boyfriend trying to pick up the rental car. The car was paid for 3 days in advance and he gave him a hard time saying he couldn’t give him the rental car without a credit card. He finally realized he was wrong and ended up doing his job and giving us our car. He didn’t even apologize for his crucial mistake. Never going here again!! If he hates life and job so much he shouldn’t be working in customer service. Budget please hire people who DON’T profile their customers based on their skin color.
